Remarkable and all-round

The design of the CMG office building at business park IJsseloord 2 is subject to a number of conditions in a master plan. A T-shaped main set-up of the floor plan and a circumfluent façade comprise the prescribed basis. The materials used, particularly the yellow bricks, were also more or less prescribed to promote the uniformity and calmness of the buildings in the park. The rounding of the façade was used as the theme for all the exterior walls, creating a remarkably all-round building.

In order to reinforce the perception of the roundness, aluminium band windows were fitted with window frames with protruding vertical posts that work like blinds. The materials are used in their natural colours - light yellow brick, beige natural stone, uncoloured aluminium and clear glass - allowing the building to age elegantly.
